Best Buds!

Joanna and her 'best bud,' Kensley

We have joined a playgroup, which tries to meet once a week, so that our girls can play and, maybe most importantly, so that the moms can relax, knowing that there are more sets of eyes around to watch over the little ones. Joanna has been more than thrilled about this idea--she loves having the opportunity to look at someone other than me! :) Our group is small, but I am so glad to have the support around and to be able to know other military families who can relate to our situation.

We took this picture yesterday--it was so neat to see the girls' reactions to each other--they are finally at that stage where the word 'play' starts to have more meaning (before 'play' meant lay by each other and fuss).

Here are some pictures I took of Joanna being goofy before Kensley and her mom, Lou Ellen, came over.

hamin' it up for the camera

What a look of determination!

As you can see, Joanna is getting ready to crawl! So far, she can get herself on all fours and rock back and forth, but as soon as she goes to lift an arm forward to start crawling, she collapses. I am actually a little nervous about her gaining this new freedom--I know it will open up a whole new can of worms...just when I was getting the hang of everything! Here's to hoping I can keep up! :)
