Six Months Old!

I can't believe Joanna is already 6 months old! We had her 6 month check-up earlier this week and were surprised to find that she now weighs 17 lbs and is 27.5 inches long! What a big girl!

We were able to snap this classic picture of Joanna doing what she does best....skydiving! I think she must get it from Randy (after all, he was on the parachute team at the Academy). I guess I better prepare myself for the possibility that my daughter may someday follow in the footsteps of her thrill-seeking father and decide to throw herself out of an airplane just for kicks! :)

Grandma and Grandpa M were able to come out to NJ for a nice visit this past week. We had such a great time with them and were sad they couldn't stay longer. Grandma and Grandpa M were gracious enough to babysit Joanna while Randy and I went out for dinner and movie to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary, since Randy will be deployed on our actual anniversary day. Here is a picture Grandma shot just before we hit the town (I think Joanna was more than happy to see us go so that she could spend more time with her g'rents!)

I love this picture! We took a trip to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania while my parents were in town--it was beautiful! On our way home, we decided to stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Joanna was not happy sitting in her chair, so we decided it might be time for her to 'sit like a big girl' with mom and dad.....she was definitely satisfied with the decision :) Soon, she'll want a plate of fries of her own!
