Oh Boy! The last couple of weeks have flown by! I have a million and one pictures to upload to our blog, but in order to keep our computer from exploding due to the overwhelming number of photos, I am going to have to edit them down to a select few.....check back for my selections :)
We are now safely back in New Jersey after a long, yet adventurous, drive home. After Randy's graduation at Maxwell AFB, we left for Pensacola, FL to visit some friends for the weekend. We had a great time hanging out at the beach and playing with their 4 month old son, Jacob. We had to cut our visit short due to Hannah, the impending hurricane, and decided to leave FL on Sunday morning....little did we realize that we would be driving with the ENTIRE state of Louisiana northbound! We thought for sure, that the Louisianians would head maybe a hundred miles north at most to avoid Hannah, but we were seeing a steady stream of Louisiana plates clear into Virginia! None the less, we made our way slowly but surely north, stopping in DC for a quick tour of the Natural History Museum and the Air and Space Museum. We eventually made it home and we couldn't have been more happy to sleep in our own beds!!
Since arriving home, we have received the wonderful news that Randy will NOT be deploying this month, but instead that he will be attending school here at McGuire to become an Air Craft Commander (his school will begin in Oct)!! The thought of having our family together for the holidays, after being apart last year, makes me indescribably happy! I absolutely want to make the most of our time together this holiday season, so you can be assured that there will be future postings about hay rides, pumpkin patches, trick or treating, turkey dinners, Christmas tree farms, snow angels, and cookies and milk :)
