For The Love of Earth!

I ordered some shoes for Joanna last week from Lands End.com and was surprised, and delighted, to find a package of Monmouth Sunflower seeds (for planting...not eating) included in our shipment. So, to celebrate Earth Day, Joanna and I planted the seeds along the side of our house. The package claims that it will only take about two weeks for the plants to germinate and about 100 days for them to mature. I am hoping we will see some monmouth sunflowers before we leave, but if not, the next family can enjoy the fruits of our labor! Joanna was so excited to dig in the dirt, and even more excited to use the watering can....she loves the watering can....we discovered months ago that it was absolutley neccessary to hide it from Joanna unless we wanted to hear her obsess about it ALL day long :)
