How Time Flies!

This past week I took the boys to the pediatrician for their 4 month check-up -- can you believe they are 4 months old already!? I am pleased to say that both Sean and Wyatt are healthy, growing boys :) Wyatt weighed in at 15 pounds 11 ounces and stretched to 25 1/4 inches! Sean tipped the scale at 16 pounds 9 inches and stretched to 26 inches long!! As you can probably imagine these two are no longer satisfied with their liquid diets, so I started feeding them oatmeal cereal with fruit and veggies last week. They love it!! Sean is a very messy eater and ends up getting more of the cereal on his hands, forehead, ears and bib than he does in his mouth. He just gets so excited when he sees the spoon coming that he clenches his fists and brings them to his mouth almost like he is trying to scoop it up himself and shove it in faster -- he is so busy sucking on his fists that I can't get the spoon in his mouth -- haha! Wyatt is a very polite and clean eater. He waits patiently for the spoon to come his direction and as soon as he sees it, he opens his mouth wide and swallows all the cereal in one big gulp.

The boys laugh and smile regularly, which really brightens my day! I have told my mom that I think they are going to have such great senses of humor because they are always laughing, smiling or making funny faces. In fact, their favorite thing to do is get dressed and undressed. As soon as I put them on the changing table, they get so excited and start kicking their legs, flailing their arms and squealing in delight. After a few good kicks and squeals, they lay real still and look at me like with the funniest look of anticipation, like 'is it time??? is it time yet???' Their favorite part about getting dressed and undressed is when I push their arms through the sleeves -- hahaa! It makes me laugh just thinking of it -- why do they think that is so funny??? :) But they just giggle and giggle when their arms slide through the sleeves. And, I think the funnier thing still, is that they BOTH find this hysterical -- it started with Wyatt and after a few days, Sean started to get in on the fun :)

I had to pack away all of the boys preemie, newborn, and 3 month clothes the other day. It actually was a bittersweet moment....it's so wonderful to see how healthy and big these guys are getting, but at the same time it really brings a tear to my eye to think that I will never have a baby that small again (at least that's the plan anyway!). When I packed away Joanna's clothes as she grew, it didn't bother me as much because I knew I would most likely be doing this one or two more times...but now, every milestone is the last and it really brings in to perspective how quickly time passes. I just try to take it all in and do my best to record our experiences through pictures, videos and blog entries :)
