Our little Jojo-Bean has become quite the fashionista as of late! She never showed any interest in playing dress-up until just a couple of months ago -- it all began when we moved to California (go figure!). While we were staying at the hotel on base, we were invited over for dinner by a co-worker of Randy's in his new squadron. We accepted the invite and were looking forward to meeting new people -- this family had two girls about Joanna's age, so I knew she was going to have fun too. Anyway, we arrive at their house, and in true fashion, Joanna makes herself right at home -- talking up a blue streak within seconds of walking in their door and playing little miss ringleader as she 'suggested' to the girls what games they should all be playing. Before I could put my bags down and introduce myself to our hosts, Joanna comes shuffling over all dolled up from head to toe in a princess gown, beaded necklaces and feathery high heeled shoes!! Hahaha I got such a kick out of it, because I had never her seen her dressed up like that before -- wouldn't you know she wore those feathery high heels the ENTIRE night and it took some MAJOR trickery to convince her to take them off when we had to leave without causing a scene :) Ever since that night, she has been sneaking into my closet to find a pair of high heels to sport for the day.

She has also taken a GREAT liking to my jewelry....and keeps insisting to me that she 'wants a married ring too.' When she first asked if she could have a 'married ring' I told her that she needed to find someone to marry first, to which she replied 'OK! I marry Daddy! And you can come too Mommy!' (Hahahaa!) So I said 'OK I'll come to your wedding, thanks for inviting me!' Joanna's response, 'Sure Mommy! Yes! Yes! I get a married ring pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!?' Needless to say, I have had to hide all of my rings from her, because the little Houdini was always finding a way to sneak one into her room......Lord help whoever our 'married ring' loving fashionista gets engaged to! :)
