Our little girl is growing like a weed! Joanna had her second doctor's appointment earlier this week and she weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 12oz! I guess I don't need to worry anymore about whether or not she is getting enough to eat :) The doctor was very pleased with her weight gain to say the least. While we were at the appointment, the doctor found a slight "hip click" in her left hip and suggested we go for an ultrasound to make sure that the ligament in her hip was properly placed. He assured us that the click was ever so slight, but wanted to do the ultrasound to cover all bases. We will be going in tomorrow (Friday) for the ultrasound (which I am sure Joanna will scream through) so I will be sure to let you know how it all goes.
Joanna's latest milestones: She is now focusing on my face and actually seems to understand that I am her mom not just some strange lady who keeps waking her up every two hours...I think she is still trying to figure out who Randy is, but I assure him that she will get it soon enough...soon she will be stuck to him like glue just as any "daddy's girl" would. She is keeping her eyes open for longer periods of time, although she still gets tired very easily and is sure to let us know when she has had enough excitement. We're still waiting for her cord to fall off so that we can give her her first real bath--I don't think she is a fan of the sponge baths, although she LOVES to have her hair washed :) Everyday seems to bring some little new change and we're having an incredible time trying to keep up!
