Bye Daddy!

Joanna and I said a very sad goodbye to Randy yesterday as he left for a 2 month deployment to the Middle East. Luckily, Randy and I both agree that between his deployment schedule and me taking care of Joanna, the 2 months should pass quickly. Joanna and I will be visiting our families in Phoenix for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. Next week will be Joanna's first flight! We plan to take lots of pictures! With all of the holiday traveling we will be doing, I know Joanna will be an old pro at flying by the time Randy comes home.

Joanna's 2 month doctor's appointment is this coming Wednesday. I am so curious to find out how much she weighs! I'm not so excited, however, about the shots she will be getting....hopefully I won't cry as much as she will :) Joanna is starting to immitate sounds and faces. If I say something to her, she tries her hardest to reproduce that sound--it's really funny to watch.....she concentrates so intensely on my mouth while I am talking, then, out of the blue, she lets out some sort of noise, and, with such pride, gives me a beaming smile--almost to say "see mom, I can do that too!"
