Busy, Busy!

Whoa! Almost a month has passed since our last posting!? Ok, well a lot has been happened since then....let's see if I can remember it all :) Joanna had her first plane ride over Thanksgiving! We flew from Philadelphia to Phoenix (a 5 hour flight) and I didn't hear one peep from her the entire time! She loved looking at all of the new faces and hearing all of the new sounds. We had a wonderful visit with my and Randy's family over Thanksgiving and are looking forward to heading back to Phoenix next week!

We have officially reached the half-way point in Randy's deployment--he is scheduled to come home on January 11th!! Joanna and I will be spending the next month in Arizona, so this is really the last week with just the two of us! It was challenging at first, but we eventually found a rhythm and it has really been smooth sailing since...I'm afraid I won't want to share her when Randy comes home! hahaa :)

Joanna has learned to roll over from her stomach to her back, although she will only roll when she wants to....which hasn't been very often lately. She is learning new sounds everyday and has found out that she can blow bubbles (one of her favorite things to do). She has taken a great interest in her hands lately. She will bring them together and wrap her fingers around one another and just stare in amazement :) She is interacting with her toys now and is even trying to grab them. She can't quite pick them up on her own yet, but she can hold onto them if I put them in her hand.

I don't think it will be long before she is able to sit on her own. She has always had such strong legs and has been able to stand on them since 6 weeks old--I joke that she will skip crawling all together and go straight to walking! She is now wearing her 6-9 month clothes.....yes, and she will only be 3 months next week. Her next doctor's appointment will be at the end of January....I'm guessing she will be 15lbs or better by then!
