I spent about an hour on this post yesterday and for some reason, when I checked it this morning, the post did not save correctly! So, I will try to recreate the original birthday post :)

Happy 1st Birthday Princess Joanna!
I cannot believe that Joanna is turning 1 year old today! That on this day last year my life changed forever :) Joanna has been such a light in my life. She has taught me more about myself, my strengths and my weaknesses, in the last year than I had known in the 26 years before she was born--and for that I am forever thankful.
It feels like yesterday that Randy and I were overwhelmed with the fatigue, excitement and bewilderment of being new parents. Our motto at the time was 'take it one day at a time'--we were so focused on making it through each day that we certainly couldn't fathom the day our baby would have her first birthday! And yet, here it is!
I had told myself from the moment Joanna was born, to cherish each moment we shared, the good and the bad. But, no matter how hard I clung to those times, they were truly gone in a flash. I guess I can be lucky that Joanna was born during this 'digital era' where I can, and have, recorded every day of her life in some way or another.
I know the second year will bring a whole new set of joys and challenges and I truly cannot explain how excited I am to be a part of this adventure. I am so blessed to have Joanna in my life!
