We decided to give the Pumkin Patch another go this weekend, after being defeated by the crowds during out first attempt last weekend....Our second attempt was a success! We managed to find the 'spill over' parking lot and found a place to park just in time! This was our first time to a Pumpkin Patch and it sure was a GREAT time!

We boarded the hay ride/tractor pull and off we went to the patch to begin our pumpkin hunt!

Joanna just sat in amazement, watching the trees go by and feeling the wind in her hair! It is always so much fun to see Joanna experience something for the first time (I think it brings me more joy than it does her)! :)

As we got closer to the pumpkin patch, I told Randy that I had spotted THE PERFECT pumpkin hiding in the vines along the edge of the patch and that we needed to make a bee-line for it when the tractor stopped! (mind you, halloween is only 2 weeks away, and this pumpkin patch was pretty well picked through--so we weren't expecting to find many 'perfect' pumpkins).
So, once we stopped, everyone on the tractor went straight off the cart and into the deepest part of the patch, while we went to the little patch I had seen coming in, right off the road in search of that beutiful pumpkin :) Low and behold....Joanna and Randy found it!!!! Yes, the very same one!

We continued to search for 2 other pumpkins that resembled Randy and Joanna....and I think we did pretty good! :)

After picking our pumpkins at the pumpkin patch, we stopped at the Farm's Discovery Barnyard, where kids could play on the cool playground equipment and feed the barnyard animals. Here are some pictures we took of Joanna playing on the playground.

We had such a great day! I have no doubt that we will go back to Johnson's Farm before the year is over for Joanna's first sleigh ride and possibly even a Christmas Tree Hunt! :)
