A Rare Bird....

Joanna and I learned a cute song a few months ago at her very first swim lesson, called 'The Goodbye Song.' We would sing it at the end of every lesson and it quickly became one of Joanna's favorites. It goes like this (keeping in mind, that the name changes according to whom you are saying goodby to):

'Goodbye Joanna.
Goodbye, Joanna.
Goodbye Joanna, we hope to see you soon!'

Because I noticed that it was a favorite almost immediately, I started singing it to Joanna A LOT...and she would ask me to sing it to her A LOT by waving her hand in the air and repeating 'bye bye bye'....I would insert any number of names, animals, objects, etc. into the song -- her favorite name to say Goodbye to was, of course, her BFF Kensley (aka 'Tinsee') and she would sing 'bye bye tinsee' while we were riding in the car, getting dressed, changing diapers, EVERYWHERE....
However, the other day....Instead of singing 'bye bye Tinsee,' I heard her sing 'bye bye Doh Doh' (JoJo, what I use when I sing it to her). It took me by such surprise, that I literally held my breath so that I could pay closer attention to what she was saying.....yes, it was 'Doh Doh'! Since then, she has been singing bye bye to herself and I crack up every time I hear her refer to herself as 'Doh Doh' -- she is a rare bird indeed! :)
