Please Welcome to the Stage, Miss 'Joanna Hudson'!

So it has become somewhat of a morning weekday routine at the Heusser household for me to turn on the Today Show as I get Joanna out of bed and settled down to eat her breakfast and drink her juice. I usually just keep it on for background noise and occasionally stop to watch a story that catches my ear/eye. Well, this past week, the Today Show had a viewer contest to see who would win a chance to sing live with Jennifer Hudson (of American Idol and Dreamgirls fame) during their outdoor summer concert series. Viewers had to submit video of themselves singing 'And I'm Telling You I'm Not Leaving' and Jennifer Hudson was going to pick who she wanted to have join her on stage to sing the song in duet. So, the Today Show revealed the winner, and the winner then had a quick rehearsal behind the scenes and then rushed on stage to join Ms. Hudson. And, as the two began belting the lyrics to 'And I'm Telling You...' I couldn't help but join in -- singing waaaaaay off key and pretending Joanna was my audience. When, towards the end of the song, Joanna JOINED in with the concert singing "NO NO NO NOOOOOOO Waaaaaaay" I of course, couldn't help but burst out laughing -- and Joanna, seeing my reaction, knew she had done something awesome and continued for the rest of the day to randomly blurt out 'NO NO NO NOOOOOOO Waaaaaaay' and I would echo her with the response lyrics. It has since become our little game -- she even serenaded me and Randy on the way home from the zoo this afternoon with a series of about, oh 20, 'NO NO NO NOOOOOOO Waaaaaaay' s -- I Love it! I really have to try to figure out how to get my video on this blog.....stay tuned for Ms 'Joanna Hudson's' debut music video!
